The REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE INDEPENDENT REMUNERATION PANEL ON MEMBERS’ ALLOWANCES

Here an independent panel recommends £7200 rather than the £9000 councillors automatically receive. Your councillors have consistantly made you pay for these reports and ignored them.

There is also the following Recommendation:

That the following provision be included in the Council’s Scheme:

"If a Councillor does not attend at least two-thirds of the total number of scheduled meetings of the Council, or of the Executive, or of Committee of which he/she is a Member, the Councillor concerned should be invited to pay back an appropriate percentage of his/her Basic Allowance up to maximum of 25% of the Basic Allowance."
